Professional Summary
Personal Statement
Before I had access to internal medicine or obstetrics, family medicine or surgery, there existed an idea of what a doctor is; not a white coat billowing like a cape as they enter a room to a desperate patient eagerly awaiting an elixir to flow off of lip and into vein but rather as a steadfast and empathetic defender. Less of a hero’s cape and more a warm hand on tired, stricken fingers and soft reassuring voice. After all, that is the role of a doctor, to be guardian of sorts.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
Really the deciding factor for me was my interview with Dr. Warm. Of all the interviews I had up to and after that point, his remains my most memorable, and quite frankly, the one I most enjoyed. He really sold me on all the advantages of the program. Furthermore, the program seems to be the most focused on education and the mechanisms by which we learn. I could write several lines about other aspects, but really on the drive out of the city after interview day I thought, “This is the place,” and that was that.
