Professional Summary
Originally from Ann Arbor Michigan, Aaron Almashy moved to Cincinnati in 1994 to attend CCM and pursue studies in Jazz Studio Guitar and Electronic Media.
While attending the conservatory, Almashy quickly became an A-list guitarist and producer in the Cincinnati area, and he has been producing and performing in various projects for over 30 years.
Most notably, Almashy has been a guitarist for several popular Cincinnati bands such as Ray’s Music Exchange, Noctaluca and The Brian Newman Quartet, as well as most of the guitar driven musical theatre shows in the Cincinnati tristate area for the last decade. He has performed for Ensemble Theater, the Incline Theater, the Carnegie Theater, The Covedale Theater, The Human Race, CCM, NKU, Miami University, Xavier University and more. In fall of 2021, Almashy began performing with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Pops.
As a music producer, Almashy owns his own recording studio and has been composing and producing music for television commercials and promotional material since 2001. His past clients include Ecco, Mentos, P&G, Sears, Cincinnati Bell, Baccarat Hotel and The Ohio Lottery.
Before coming to CCM as an adjunct professor in 2015, Almashy spent several years swinging a boom as an A1/A2 sound mixer for reality TV shows, commercials and movies, and he has worked for Fox Sports, FYI, HGTV, PBS, Lifetime, Sony Pictures and more.
Almashy is currently an Assistant Professor of Audio Production in the Media Production department at CCM, where he shares his years of expertise with the next generation of young musicians, producers and engineers.
