Sarosh Batlivala

Dr. Batlivala graduated from the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine in 2005 after completing a 7-year combined B.S. & M.D. He then completed pediatrics residency at UF, later serving as chief resident. From 2009-2012, he was a pediatric cardiology fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital. He then completed an advanced clinical fellowship in interventional pediatric cardiac catheterization at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia from 2012-13. Dr. Batlivala joined the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in 2013. At UMMC, he helped create the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship and served as the Program Director. He also served as Director of all Pediatric Fellowship Training Programs. He was later appointed Interim Division Chief in September 2017. Lastly, he completed a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation in December 2017. Dr. Batlivala transitioned from UMMC to join the faculty at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in March 2018.

Dr. Batlivala has research interests both in and out of the catheterization laboratory. His MSCI thesis work evaluated the efficacy of the newborn screening program for critical congenital heart disease in MS. He also has interests in clinical investigation of congenital catheterization therapies and outcomes. 

Dr. Batlivala has also been engaged with numerous professional societies including the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (SCAI), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American College of Cardiology (ACC). He has been an active member of the Pediatric Interventional Cardiology Early career Society (PICES) and served on the PICES Executive Committee. He has held numerous national-level positions with the AAP including Section Chair for Early Career Physicians.
