Research and Practice Interests
I am broadly interested in the diverse mating strategies and life-history trade-offs of invertebrates, which offer unique opportunities to investigate complex evolutionary and ecological questions that are often difficult to address using vertebrate models. My research examines how physiological stress, caused by parasites, pathogens, or toxins, impacts invertebrate behavior, cognition, and fitness, with a particular focus on mating systems and sexual conflict. I aim to understand how organisms strategically allocate limited energy under stress, how individual reproductive strategies shift in response, and what broader ecological consequences emerge from these stressors.
