Andrew Bernier, Ph.D. is the Manager of Education and Research for Cincinnati Parks, where is oversees all education programs and camps while overseeing naturalist staff and city nature centers.

At UC, he is an Assistant Professor (Adj.) of STEM and Sustainability Education in the School of Education. He oversees the certificate programs of STEM and Sustainability Education (graduate) and Education for Sustainability (undergraduate). He also teaches courses in the Curriculum & Instruction M.Ed. program and serves to connect campus and community partners for sustainability education initiatives.

Andrew serves as the Editor-in-Chief for the academic journal Applied Environmental Education and Communication, published by Taylor & Francis.

Andrew also serves as the lead for the Greater Cincinnati Regional Center for Expertise in Education for Sustianable Development. This reports regional work in ESD toward the Sustainable Development Goals to a global network or regions hosted by the United Nations University.

He was a secondary classroom teacher for 6 years teaching sustainability, biology, and general science courses. He also managed an afterschool youth media center after working as a science and innovation senior field correspondent for NPR member station KJZZ in Phoenix, AZ.
