Logan Biren is a first-year PhD Student on the Ancient History Track. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Ancient Greek and Ancient Mediterranean Studies from the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University in 2024. His undergraduate senior capstone project, "Ionian Identity under Lydia, Persia, and the Athens (560-440 BCE)", explores the effects on Asia Minor Ionian identity by differing dominions while questioning the appropriateness of bounding historical studies with the traditional periodization.
