Professional Summary
Paola Cadena (Colombia, 1983) professional in languages and literatures, holding a BA in Humanities: English and Spanish from the National Pedagogic University of Colombia, and an MA in Spanish from the University of Cincinnati. She has published two poetry books , Hotel (2008), and Cinema (2012). Also, she has worked as an editor of the poetry magazine Ulrika in Colombia, and in different projects for promoting arts and literature as the International Poetry Festival of Bogotá. She also has eight years of experience in teaching languages and literature at both, hightschool and university levels. She is now a doctoral candidate in the Romance Languages Department of the University of Cincinnati.

Licenciada en Humanindades: Español e Inglés por la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional de Colombia, y Master of Arts in Spanish por la University of Cincinnati. Ha publicado dos libros de poesía, Hotel (2008) y Cinema (2012). También, ha colaborado como editora en la Revista de poesía Ulrika, y en diferentes proyectos para la difución y la promoción de las artes y las letras como el Festival Internacional de Poesía de Bogotá. Cuenta con ocho años de experiencia en la enseñanza de lenguas y literatura, tanto a nivel escolar como universitario. Actualmente, estudia su doctorado en el departamento de lenguas romances y literatura de la University of Cincinnati.
