Professional Summary
Personal Statement
I hold a deep-seated belief in treating every one of my patients with respect and compassion, especially when they are facing serious illness. I firmly believe that a patient's emotional comfort is as vital as their physical well-being in the healing process. Ensuring a person is comfortable when they are facing serious illness, giving them a sense of dignity and autonomy, is one of the best gifts you can give.
As I begin my career as a physician, I will strive to create an environment where my patients feel safe, heard, and valued. By actively listening to their concerns, addressing their fears, and involving them in decision-making, I aim to empower patients in their healthcare journey. I understand when patients come under my care, they are coming to me during times of vulnerability, possibly during the scariest moments of their lives. I do not take this responsibility lightly and will constantly work to make my patients as comfortable as possible.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
I am originally from a small town outside of Annapolis, Maryland, but I lived in South Carolina for the past 10 years. I first visited Cincinnati in 2018, when my now wife and I began dating. I immediately fell in love with the city; there is so much to do here, and the people are wonderful and down to earth. During my interview day, I felt so welcomed by the entire faculty and staff. Everyone at this program truly cares about their patients and their colleagues. My wife is from Cincinnati, and we are so happy to be here closer to family. I think I fully made the transition to becoming a Cincinnatian last year when I finally began to enjoy Skyline Chili.
