Professional Summary
Rachel Corsello is a doctoral candidate at the University of Cincinnati, and in August 2021 graduated with a Master's degree in Criminal Justice and a graduate certificate in the Analysis of Criminal Behavior. As of fall 2021, she began the process of obtaining her PhD in Criminal Justice, concentrating on criminal justice and crime prevention. In her undergraduate studies, she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, as well as minors in Justice, Law, and Public Policy and Environmental Studies. Her research focuses on victimology, specifically institutional betrayal, betrayal trauma, and power differentials within insular behavioral modification programs, as well as cybercrime victimization.
Rachel aims to have a career as an Assistant Professor and researcher upon completion of her doctoral degree (anticipated spring 2025). She has had several influential mentors throughout her college experience, and hope to one day provide that same guidance and instruction as they once offered her.
