Education
Bachelor's Degree: Western Kentucky University Bowling Green, KY, 2002 (Recombinant Gene Technology and Chemistry)
Doctoral Degree: Johns Hopkins University Baltimore, MD, 2009 (Biochemistry, Cell, and Molecular Biology (BCMB) Program)
Postdoctoral Fellowship: University of California, San Francisco San Francisco, CA, 2016
Research and Practice Interests
Research in the Cunningham lab aims to decipher the molecular mechanisms that underlie the re-wiring of cellular metabolism during cancer development and progression. We employ a multifaceted approach that utilizes the toolkits of cell biology, mouse genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology in an effort to uncover novel, exploitable targets to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
