Professional Summary
As an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati, I am a faculty member, advisor & employer liaison that places students at the center of their educational goals. I strive to create an experiential environment that engages the student, helps them to feel personally invested in their learning, and often offer advice and counseling to those students looking to define themselves within a large-scale university environment. In working for the Professional Practice and Experiential Learning division, I facilitate placement of the Interior Design students into their Cooperative Education placements (Co-op) on alternating semester appointments. I am also the Assistant Director of the DAAP (Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning) Team of co-op advisors. Primary responsibilities include acting as the main point of contact between the College and ProPEL; working with DAAP in order to identify needs and appropriate support from ProPEL; working with DAAP on growth goals for programs and student capacity in order to maintain high quality opportunities; identify resources and begin job development for first public institution's Fine Arts co-op program.
