Professional Summary
I am researching the impact of SLCO1B1 variants on methotrexate toxicity and response in juvenile idiopathic arthritis patients in Dr. Laura Ramsey's lab at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. I returned to academia in 2021 from tissue engineering research where I was involved in the development of over 20 product attribute characterization assays and the creation, patent, and eventual launch of an allograft tissue product line. Prior to that, I was mentored by Dr. Andrew Norman in studying the pharmacokinetics of a humanized anti-cocaine monoclonal antibody, cocalixumab. My long term interests include combinatorial therapeutics, particularly the intersection of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, pharmacogenomics, intellectual property, and environmental sustainability in research and medicine.
