Professional Summary
Jacob Gordon serves as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Nursing. Dr. Gordon is an interdisciplinary, intersectional, and community-engaged social work researcher dedicated to tackling mental health disparities within the LGBTQ+ community through innovative digital interventions.
Dr. Gordon completed post-doctoral training as a NIMH-funded T32 postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University's Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health & Wellbeing. Here, Dr. Gordon has honed a translational skill set aimed at optimizing social media usage among LGBTQ+ youth. His work focuses on improving the ability of LGBTQ+ youth to harnessing the positive aspects of social media while mitigating the negative experiences commonly encountered online.
