Professional Summary
Art Gore took private study with Vic Firth (Boston Symphony) and Alan Dawson. During his early career, he toured and recorded with George Benson for five years as well as recorded with Teruo Nakamura and Herbie Hancock (on Rising Sun and Manhattan Special for Polydor Records), Larry Young, and Lonnie Liston Smith (on Expansions for RCA).
In Cincinnati, Gore is the leader of the Greenwich Trio and a member of the Blue Wisp House Trio. He was awarded the Elliott “Elli” Mannette Outstanding Musical Innovation Award by the State of Ohio in 2001.
