Professional Summary
Rachel Grimm holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Miami University and a BA in English with a Creative Writing Emphasis from Allegheny College. She is currently at work on a speculative fiction novel about how to find joy in a world that can feel like a literal dumpster fire, the first pages of which were honored as runner-up by the 2024 SCMF-SWF Ohio Writers Scholarship. She also curates “write here in cincinnati,” a monthly newsletter connecting writers and readers through local literary events.

Rachel's creative and research interests include the contemporary novel and short story forms, hybrid and experimental storytelling, fabulism, identity literature, intersectional feminism, satire, environmentalism and ecofeminism, speculative fiction, assemblage theory, writing pedagogy, literary activism, and community education.
