Professional Summary
Hairong Guan is an organometallic chemist with research interests in metal hydrides, homogeneous catalysis with first-row transition metals, and catalysis on metal surface. Hairong received his academic training from Peking University (with Prof. Zhenfeng Xi), Columbia University (with Prof. Jack Norton), and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (with Prof. Chuck Casey) before joining the faculty at the University of Cincinnati in 2007. Currently, Hairong is a Professor of Chemistry. He has served as an Advisory Board Member of Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers, an Editorial Board Member of Green Synthesis and Catalysis, and has been a recipient of an NSF CAREER award, an Alfred P. Sloan research fellowship, and a Humboldt research fellowship.
