Professional Summary
The Academic Data Steward works collaboratively across multiple units to ensure processes are in place for maintaining the university’s curricular data accurately. This includes the establishment of business practices for creating data consistently, as well as collaborating with academic units to adopt new reporting tools for continual monitoring and improvement. Specific initiatives include tracking various forms of teaching, including different types of experiential learning pedagogies. The Academic Data Steward incorporates faculty governance into the processes to create the university’s curriculum, ensuring that the institution’s offerings can continue to evolve, and that we accurately gather evidence of the curriculum’s continual improvement. This position reports to the vice provost of undergraduate affairs, collaborates closely with the Office of the Registrar, Institutional Research, and directly supports the associate deans council, as well as the general education coordinating committee.
