Professional Summary
Keeley Harding, DNP, APRN, CNS, CPNP-AC/PC, is adjunct faculty in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in the College of Nursing. She has served as chair for graduate students’ scholarly doctoral projects and previously taught in the Acute Care and Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner programs. Dr. Harding is dual board-certified as a primary care and acute care pediatric nurse practitioner. Her clinical experience spans acute and chronic pain management, urgent care, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, and radiology. She has also served as an independent consultant for the Ohio Attorney General’s Health Care Fraud Section and the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Dr. Harding has delivered podium and poster presentations at state, national, and international conferences, including Category A continuing education programs focused on Ohio nursing laws and rules required for nursing licensure renewal. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored an article examining state legislator clinical site visits as an advocacy strategy related to CRNA practice (Newell et al., 2022). She also co-authored a book chapter on well-child visits (Harding et al., 2021) and currently serves as a peer reviewer for several nursing journals.
Dr. Harding has held leadership roles at the state and national levels. She previously served in various board positions with the Ohio Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), including as Health Policy Chair and Newsletter Editor. She also served as Legislative Co-Chair of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (OAAPN). During her involvement with these professional organizations, she was appointed to the Governor’s Ohio Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force in 2010 and provided expert testimony before the Ohio General Assembly and the Ohio Board of Nursing on issues affecting APRN practice. She currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Ohio Chapter of NAPNAP and as a member of the National League for Nursing (NLN) Public Policy Committee.
Her contributions to nursing, leadership, and education have been recognized with several honors, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Nurse Practitioner State Award for Excellence, the NAPNAP Emerging Leader Award (2023), the Meridel Newman Outstanding Teacher Award (2022), and the Rosalee C. Yeaworth Outstanding Teaching Award (2023). Dr. Harding is passionate about educating and mentoring future nurse leaders, strengthening graduate nursing education, and supporting initiatives that improve the health and well-being of children and families while contributing to the continued growth of the nursing profession.
