Professional Summary
Joyce Hensler was a Lead Teacher for the Child Development Program at the Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center since 1997. She taught a half-day preschool class and served as the Education Coordinator. Ms. Hensler earned her B.S. degree in Home Economics and M.Ed. in Child Development from Penn State. She has many years of experience teaching in both preschool classrooms and high school vocational child care training programs. In addition, she has served as the Child Development Associate Coordinator, Practicum Mentor and Supervisor, and UC Bilingual School Director. She is a contributor to Challenging Behaviors in Early Childhood Settings: Creating a Place for All Children (Paul H. Brooks Publishing Co., 2004).
