Professional Summary
Sara is a second-year Master's student in Classical Philology. She graduated summa cum laude from Kenyon College in 2024 with her Bachelor of Arts in Classics with distinction. Her Master's thesis, "Virtus Egressa Modum: Space, Gender, and Divinity in Statius' Thebaid" argues that Statius utilizes spatial language to express his epic poem's most pressing themes, particularly surrounding dissolution of social order and confusion of domestic roles.
Other than Statius, Sara is interested in other imperial Latin authors (namely Suetonius and Martial), Plutarch, and the Greek novel. She is also a member of the chorus in the 2026 production of Sophocles' Antigone in collaboaration with UC Classics and CCM.
