Professional Summary
Laetitia is a second-year PhD student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Cincinnati. She grew up in Montréal, Canada, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in sociology, criminology, and social work. She appreciates the perspective social work gave her to approach her research. She is currently a research assistant within the Ohio Policy Evaluation Network, contributing to the Abortion Clinic Closures and Care Churn project.
Her MA thesis project explores how survivor advocates navigate professional relationships with other responders and community partners through observation and informal interviewing. Her other projects include a paper on how joy and positivity are explored in abortion research in relation to epistemology and reflexivity. Her current research interests include medical sociology, sexual violence, and sociology of reproduction.
