Bio: I grew up in Centerville, OH just outside of Dayton as the oldest of 4 kids. For college I attended Miami University where I studied Zoology, and met my husband, Doug who now is a chemical engineer for Pringles. I got married just before starting medical school at University of Cincinnati. Throughout my time at UC, I was involved with Urban Health Project, which is a medical student run non-profit that matches medical students with community sites working with the underserved for summer internships. Additionally, I had the opportunity to spend a month on Christ’s inpatient family medicine service where I fell in love with the programs family centered rounding and the faculty’s dedication to resident teaching. I was also intrigued by the programs unique focus on caring for the underserved, and how opportunities for international health work were integrated into the curriculum. During my free time, I love to experiment with new recipes, take walks (especially if they involve an ice cream stop) and hanging out with my family. Currently, I am interested in learning more about geriatrics, and learning how to improve management of chronic disease (such as diabetes, COPD, etc) in the outpatient setting. After residency I hope to stay in Cincinnati to practice.,
