Daniel Newman

Daniel S. Newman (PhD, 2009, University of Maryland, College Park) is a Professor, and the Program Coordinator of the UC School Psychology Program. His research, teaching, and service focus on school consultation practice and training, professional supervision, and professional issues in school psychology. Dr. Newman publishes regularly on these topics, including peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and three books. Dr. Newman is currently the Editor of the Journal of Educational and Psychological Consultation. He also serves on the Editorial Board of School Psychology, is a Qualitative Methodological Advisor for School Psychology International, and is the Editor of Routledge’s Consultation, Supervision, and Professional Learning in School Psychology book series. Additionally, Dr. Newman is Past President of the Trainers of School Psychologists, co-chairs NASP’s Consultee-Centered Consultation Special Interest Group, and the Innovations in Practica and Internships subgroup of the NASP Graduate Educators’ Committee.
