Isaac Kofi Nti

Dr. Isaac Kofi Nti is an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Technology at the University of Cincinnati. He brings over 16 years of teaching and research experience across applied machine learning, health informatics, cybersecurity, and data governance. His interdisciplinary work focuses on the responsible use of AI and data science to address challenges in cybersecurity, healthcare, education, energy, finance, and agriculture.

Dr. Nti has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. He is actively involved in leading grant-funded initiatives that support faculty development, secure data analytics, and the integration of emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing into education and research.

He is passionate about project-based learning and mentors students in designing practical, ethical, and inclusive technology solutions. His teaching portfolio includes courses in machine learning and data mining, information security and assurance, and data technologies administration.

Dr. Isaac Kofi Nti’s research lies at the intersection of applied machine learning, cybersecurity, and data-driven decision-making, with a strong emphasis on real-world impact and interdisciplinary collaboration. He is particularly interested in developing lightweight and explainable AI models that address pressing challenges in health informatics, energy systems modeling, finance, education, and agriculture. His work aims to enhance trust, transparency, and accountability in AI-powered systems, especially within sensitive or high-stakes environments.
In practice, Dr. Nti is focused on advancing secure data analytics, cloud-based learning infrastructures, and AI-integrated teaching strategies. He is actively involved in designing ethical hacking labs, AI-enhanced faculty training programs, and open-source curricular resources that promote inclusive and skill-based learning. He also explores the use of generative AI and large language models in higher education, with a focus on data privacy, prompt engineering, and instructional innovation. His work bridges theory and implementation, ensuring that research outcomes translate into scalable, secure, and context-aware technological solutions.
