Professional Summary

Camila completed her Ph.D. in political science at Arizona State University with a Fulbright scholarship. Her research focuses on women’s contentious politics and policy in Colombia and Mexico, employing ethnography, interviews, text analysis, and OLS analysis to study political violence, transitional justice, and women's participation in social movements. With a background in project implementation for women’s rights across governmental institutions and NGOs, Camila is skilled in designing, executing, and leading research and social projects. She is also an expert in teaching comparative politics, with a strong focus on Latin America, especially the Global South, and women's involvement in politics.
