Professional Summary

I work in Ancient Greek Philosophy, especially on themes in Aristotle's metaphysics and science. Some of my work explores Aristotle's pluralism about causalitiy and priority, and how these two notions might be connected. I also work on matter in Aristotle, and on Plato's conception of space as the Receptacle in the TImaeus. In addition to these projects, I am working on a series of papers that highlights how Metaphysics Iota, particularly Aristotle's analysis of Oneness, or 'the One' (to hen), in the first two chapters, bears on other central issues in Aristotle's Metaphysics.
