Professional Summary
Professor of Music - Educator Holly B Pratt focuses her work on the importance of music in community well-being. Active as a harpist, Prof. Pratt researches harps and harp music from 15th-17th Centuries and the historical role of harp in Welsh music. At the College-Conservatory of Music she teaches courses that encourage non-music majors to explore the role of music in our culture and in their own lives. Outside the University, she volunteers as the director of a nonprofit that provides opportunities for musical participation to underserved populations across the community.
