Professional Summary
Cinzia is a PhD student specializing in Roman Archaeology. She defended her MA at the University of Cincinnati in 2022 for her thesis titled, Architectural Furnishings as Evidence of Local Intentionality in Etruscan Tombs. She graduated summa cum laude in both Classics and Art History at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2020. Her BA Honors thesis centered on digitally reconstructing the waterways in Tharros, Sardinia in GIS and analyzing their construction and efficiency.
Cinzia's research interests include Roman urbanism, infrastructure, ancient technology, and methods of applying digital humanities to data collection and analysis. She has conducted fieldwork at Poggio Civitate, Murlo, the Palace of Nestor Excavations at Pylos as a trench supervisor, and the Tharros Archaeological Research Project as a geospatial imaging and mapping coordinator.
