Professional Summary
Associate Professor Emil Robinson is a contemporary artist working in painting. His expertise ranges from traditonal drawing and painting to the poetic language of images, the interaction of color, formalist abstraction, and the expanded field of painting. Robinson has been recognized for his excellence in teaching at the University of Cincinnati with a nomination for the Dolly Cohen Award and multiple medals from the Turner Scholars program. As an artist, Robinson has exhibited his paintings and drawings extensively in the US and abroad. His work is held in public and private collections. Professor Robinson splits his time between the schools of art and design at DAAP.
