Professional Summary
Personal Statement
These experiences taught me that flexibility is key to positive patient outcomes. While one treatment approach may work well for several patients, it may need to change and evolve for others. During rotations, I began to grasp the importance of resilience in the face of treatment failure and the need to adapt when considering future therapies. In many ways, managing a chronic illness parallels training for a sport. There are months of hard work and endless repetitions behind each result. My experience as a competitive swimmer and recreational runner taught me the value of persistence and steady progress. I will apply these lessons as a physician to improve outcomes by delivering personalized medicine and treating my patients as allies in their healthcare.
Why I Chose Cincinnati
Over the last 4 years as a medical student here, my fiancé Patrick and I fell in love with the city. The easy access, great food scene, and beautiful parks especially. In addition, the people here in the IM program are just awesome
