Professional Summary
Emma excitedly joined the Center for Exploratory Studies in June of 2021. She brings with her experience from Mount St. Joseph University and University of Dayton where she served in various areas such as: career services, LGBTQ+ support, alcohol & other drug prevention education, and advising.
Emma began her higher education journey as a very undecided first-generation student, wishing for a program like Exploratory Studies. After navigating finding her best fit major and university, she landed at Mount St. Joseph University studying English and Communication. During her time there, Emma interned with the Career & Experiential Education Center which allowed her to find her passion for working with college students. After studying abroad in London, England the summer after her graduation, Emma headed to University of Dayton as both an employee and graduate student. After receiving her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Administration, Emma returned to Mount St. Joseph University to work with students in both a career services and advising capacity for Arts & Humanities, Education, Business, and (her favorite) undecided students.
Emma loves helping students to turn their “I don’t knows” into “I’ve found my best fit” as they navigate college life, finding themselves, and choosing a path. No two students are the same, and that is what makes serving as an Assistant Director in the Center for Exploratory Studies so exciting!
When she isn’t working with students, Emma enjoys film, concerts, fluffy animals, sports, and exploring Cincinnati.
