Jianxin (Jason) Sun is an assistant professor in the Computer Science department at the University of Cincinnati. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, advised by Dr. Hongfeng Yu. He obtained his M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Purdue University, advised by Dr. Avinash Kak. His research concentrates on AI-driven Data Modeling, Analysis, and Visualization through high-performance computing.

My lab works at the intersection of Data, Human, and AI. My research aims to establish the core foundations of next-generation AI-driven data analysis and visualization systems with enhanced expressivity, explainability, and scalability, empowering AI for Science through accelerated scientific discovery and innovation across specialized and interdisciplinary domains.
