Professional Summary
Uchenna Uchechukwu is a doctoral student in the Department of Engineering Education R.O.S.E Lab with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration in Manufacturing. His teaching and collaborative experiences with high school and university students have informed his interest in understanding the challenges students encounter as they navigate engineering education and career pathways. His research focuses on engineering career formation, engineering culture and student well-being, entrepreneurial mindset, belonging, mentoring, and equitable access to STEM. He investigates how educational, community, cultural, and professional experiences shape engineering identity, access, retention, career development, and transitions across engineering pathways. His methodological interests include qualitative and mixed-methods research, with a broader goal of advancing inclusive and innovative educational practices, lifelong learning, student well-being, and stronger engineering communities
