Professional Summary

Rachael Vrbancic, a Cincinnati native, began her young training at Ballet Tech Ohio with Claudia Rudolf Barrett.  She then continued her studies at the HARID Conservatory and University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music where she graduated magna cum laude with a minor in Psychology.  Professionally, she has danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadians doing works by Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, Christian Spuck, and Stephan Thoss. In 2022 she retired as a Corphyée from the Polish National Ballet. Her most notable roles have been the Lilac Fairy from Petipa’s The Sleeping BeautyReturning Waves pas de deux by Emil Wesołowski, and the Mother from Isadora Weiss’ ballet Darkness. She has enjoyed working with many talented choreographers such as Wayne McGregor, John Neumeier, Mats Ek, and Manuel Legris. Post retirement Rachael has choreographed Waltz of the Flowers for University of Cincinnati's CCM dance department and takes delight in being an adjunct professor.
