Emily is a practicing trend forecaster and futurist with a driving passion for where now meets what’s next. Her research focuses on evolving trend forecasting methodologies and advanced concept design approaches. Her industry practice spans landscape scenario planning, strategic foresight, and new product innovation for global clients such as Procter and Gamble, Samsung, and T-Mobile. Recent works have focused on wearable innovation, global semiotic strategy, and socio-cultural forecasting for new product platforms. Her work cultivates, guides, and evolves foresight approaches with an acute focus on preparing students, partners, and clients for change, and guiding their journey toward becoming future fluent.
Emily is fanatically driven to illuminate the "why" behind our design intentions and chart a path toward a better future. This core value enables an ability to compellingly translate future scenarios and enthusiastically foster intentional design decision-making; whether with students or industry partners. Emily is well-regarded by my clients for expertise in trend forecasting, strategic foresight, Millennial and Gen-Z behaviors, health and wellness futures, and emerging lifestyle trends.
