Professional Summary
Dr. Wright-Berryman is an Associate Professor of Social Work in the College of Allied Health Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in social work from Indiana University School of Social Work, with a Ph.D. minor in Epidemiology from the Indiana University Department of Public Health in the IU School of Medicine.
Dr. Wright-Berryman is currently working on several projects. First, she is conducting a funded three-part study to identify policy and practice barriers and solutions in death care for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Second, as the clinical principal investigator for Clarigent Health, a Cincinnati-based technology company, she oversees a national study using natural language processing to identify suicide risk, depression, and anxiety. Lastly, Dr. Wright-Berryman is working on an advocacy plan in tandem with her death studies research to make death care more equitable and accessible for LGBTQIA+ people.
Dr. Wright-Berryman teaches research, mental health policy, and interprofessional suicide prevention for the health professions.
