Professional Summary

Chenxing Xie is an Assistant Professor of Technical and Professional Communication in the English Department at the University of Cincinnati. She joined the department in 2024 and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Design and Web Design. Her research interests include transcultural health risk communication, information design and architecture, and digital rhetoric of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence, with a focus on social justice in the global context. She has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles published in the Journal of Rhetoric, Profession Communication, and GlobalizationInternational Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, and Asian Journal of Communication, as well as conference proceedings in ACM Special Interest Group on the Design of Communication (SIGDOC) and IEEE Professional Communication (ProComm). Her work has won First Place in the Student Research Competition at the 40th ACM SIGDOC.
