Chenxing Xie is an Assistant Professor in Professional Writing and the Director of Communications for the Center for Humanities and Technology (CHaT) at the University of Cincinnati. She received a B.A. in English from Tsinghua University, China, and an M.S. in Technical Communication and a Ph.D. in Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Media from North Carolina State University. Her research interests lie in AI rhetorics and the rhetoric of health and medicine, with a focus on how AI and other emerging technologies reshape knowledge-making, expertise, and health risk communication across transnational contexts. Her work has been published in Technical Communication Quarterly, International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Journal of Rhetoric, Profession Communication, and Globalization, Journal of Asian Communication and ACM SIGDOC Proceedings. She is the associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication. Her work has received the ACM SIGDOC Best Paper Award. Her research has also been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).
